School reunites musician with his instrument
On Thursday 10th May, South Axholme Academy in Epworth staged a concert, entitled “A Night at the Movies”. Most of the pieces in the programme had a link with a well known film and the evening included performances by the school’s Swing Band, Brass Band and Senior wind Band. The annual production of SAX News will be occurring on Wednesday 13th June 2012. As most of you already know this is a fantastic project that will give you insight into the world of journalism. Participating in this will help you to develop team work skills, organisational skills and of course your grasp of transactional writing. Pupils who have participated in the project previously have really enjoyed it.

Cancer Charity : Fund Raising Concert

The school’s production of Bugsy took place on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th March after weeks of rehearsals and three very long Sunday rehearsals. The pupils dedication paid off as both shows were a huge success. The main cast of characters were different for each night. A very special thanks to all the staff and parents who helped to make this happen but mostly to the pupils for their dedication.
